Explore the structures of a plant cell
Rotate the model, select a structure in the legend, and compare its position with the surrounding organelles. The text below remains available without the 3D view.
Start with the boundary
Toggle the cell wall and compare the outline with the plasma membrane inside it.
Locate the central vacuole
Select the vacuole and compare the space it occupies with the position of the nucleus and other organelles.
Inspect individual structures
Choose chloroplasts, mitochondria or another structure from the legend to highlight it and read its description.
Compare different views
Use the cutaway or exploded view to reveal structures hidden behind others. Reset the view to return to the overall cell.
Model assumptions and sources
- This is an illustrative plant cell. Organelle numbers, proportions and positions are arranged for visibility rather than measured from a particular cell.
- Exploded separation and gentle organelle motion support inspection; they do not represent a measured biological process.
